1. Introduction

The OPTICHECK is an In-situ verification tool for electromagnetic, mass, Vortex flowmeters and the new generation of the OPTIWAVE radar level family provided by KROHNE. OPTICHECK is the perfect tool to verify the performance of your device without interrupting the process and for doing proactive maintenance to your KROHNE field devices.


When you connect the tool in-line onsite, it gathers measuring data to ensure that the instrument is performing within 1 % of the factory calibration. 





2. Why use the OPTICHECK?

  1. The OPTICHECK fulfills third party requirements for the independent Verification of KROHNE instruments.
  2. Perform a rapid trouble shooting through quick scan based on the powerful diagnostic features of KROHNE converters (less than 10 mins).
  3. Performs a complete check of the magnetic circuit, all inputs and outputs and electrode integrity.
  4. All in one solution, no need for an external system or display.
  5. The OPTICHECK can be easily connected to a flowmeter in measurement mode without interrupting the process. The flowmeter does not need to be removed. A great advantage especially in difficult installation environments.
  6. The OPTICHECK operates on the power supply from tablet/laptop and needs no other power supply.
  7. Compatible with OPTIFLUX, TIDALFLUX and WATERFLUX flow sensors equipped with IFC 050, IFC 070, IFC 100 and IFC 300 signal converters as well as OPTIMASS flow sensors equipped with MFC 300, MFC 400 signal converters, OPTISWIRL 4200 and OPTIWAVE x400/ x500.
  8. Verifies to 1% of factory calibration with a probability 95% (EMF & Vortex only).
  9. Option to connect to KROHNE calibration database.
